This book teaches about Spanish or Latino culture, and painters, and is suitable for boys and girls. This book is very colorful and has amazing illustrations. This book is a great history lesson and tells about all the interesting places he visited. This book tells about Diego Rivera's life and the impact he made on culture through his paintings. I recommend this book to all students and parents because it is not only a great book, but a great history lesson with amazing illustrations and colors.
I reccomend this book for reading because amount of information learned while reading through this book. It teaches about Mexican history. This is an inspirational book about a man named Diego Rivera. He is an important painter. This book also introduces art history which a lot of children don't have the opportunity to be exposed to. Most children are interested in art so this book allows them to read about someone who is successful and compare their work to his. This books gives hope to younger people who have the same interest as Diego. The entire concept of the book gets the reader thinking about the world around them through an artist's eyes.
I love this book. I will definitely recommend this book. Duncan Tonatiuh summarizes Diego Rivera’s life in this book with an outstanding work of art. The illustrations in this book are beautiful and have a lot of similarities with Rivera’s work of art. It seems that the author capture the different painting styles that Rivera used in his paintings. There is Cubism, Realism, and Classism that transports the reader into the wonderful world of art. This is a truly inspiring book. The author also gave us an insight of what inspired him to write this book. Also, this book has a theme that makes a comparison from past to present in how art can be use to represent our way of life. I will definitely recommend this book.
