I truly enjoyed this movie about suffering cancer and true friendship. The dynamic exchange of dialogues between Seth Rogen and Joseph G-L was fun and somehow touching near the end. You can not imagine a better friend like that during a situation where people just freaked out about you. Let's hope we all take good care of our good friends during the most difficult time in life.

This completely exceeded my expectations. The cancer issue is dealt with realistically, the friendship between the men rings absolutely true, and all of the characters are well-written as actual human beings. Funny bits, sad bits, and overall well worth your time.

The previews make this look like kind of a goofy movie but in fact it has a lot to say about cancer and how it affects a person's life. There isn't a lot of detail about the physical aspects of chemo. Instead the focus is on the main character's relationships. We all know that there is a lot of ambivalence in even the best relationships, and that crises can amplify things. Whether or not the end result is more closeness or a complete implosion depends on the good will of the people involved. This is beautifully illustrated here. The acting is solid, and the writing is right on the money, which isn't surprising since the screenwriter himself has had cancer and knows whereof he speaks.

Some good laughs, and genuine humanity, but most importantly, it has none of the melodramatic acting that has become the norm in a lot of movies. I've added 1.5 stars to my original rating, b/c I have now watched it 3x AND now want to own the blu ray. Bonus: it was shot in Vancouver.

Sad movie. It's always hard to find out someone close is sick. Determination to cure yourself and help from others can do wonders. Sometimes you can beat the odds.

Unexpectedly, I really enjoyed this movie. It was an original, heart felt movie. Best of all was the friendship between the main characters.

This was an effective dramedy based on a true life friend of Seth Rogen's battle with cancer. I generally like Rogen and Gordon-Levitt, but had no expectations of this movie. It delivered an effective combination of heart and humor. The story moves along at a good pace, and was well acted and written. Rogen IS foulmouthed, so if that offends you don't watch it, you won't think it's funny.

A respectful, touching, funny & most of all real story of a guy facing cancer with a 50/50 chance to survive. I have been through the cancer experience myself with my girlfriend facing a 20% chance to survive & this film rang true more than any other film I have seen. I loved this film. Thanks for producing such a respectful, funny and real film about what it's like to face cancer & face death while still living. A very good film.

VERY well done. Quite depressing, but I love the characters, love the story. It is touching and funny at the same time. (Sometimes a bit raunchy, but overall great!) I heard nothing about this before I watched it and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was.
