A Horrifyingly HORRIBLE -wannabe-film. Nearly as bad as the ridiculously boring novel.
I would like to criticize the actors, but there weren't any.
I'd like to say the plot was extremely bad, but there wasn't one.
I would also like to chastise the director for their appalling job, but I'm certain there wasn't one.
Additional, I'd like to tell the (so-called) writer to go back to their day-job.

I watched this movie a while ago but I feel like they chose the wrong person for peeta. Or as I like to call him Lover Boy.
>-< the movie was OKAY I enjoyed the books a lot more than any of the movies. It was defiantly a little bit of a let down but I still will watch the mocking Jay part 1. Maybe 3 1/2 stars.

Before I read the book after I saw the movie, I was amazed on being interested for post-apocalyptic books, mostly focusing on post-apocalyptic societies from different books like The Hunger Games saga and the Divergent saga, but for me, The Hunger Games saga serves as a perfect example for highlighting different societies/districts based on how an unknown phenomenon created this. To me, the Hunger Games was like watching something in the future. I know that it leaves out lots of parts, but if they took it right from the book, it would make everyone think that it’s exactly like the book, with lots of details that no one would want to see, but the main points of the book in the film. I had no expectations going into this movie and I really liked it. I enjoyed the build-up and politics up tothe actual games. Woody Harrelson with his usual comic relief. Definitely entertaining. Worth seeing in the theatre for sure!! An effective entertainment, and Jennifer Lawrence is strong and convincing in the central role. But the film leapfrogs obvious questions in its path, and avoids the opportunities sci-fi provides for social criticism. Like the select participants of its savage sport, The Hunger Games stands triumphant, if scarred and a bit wobbly from the contest, which is how it’s like to some people in real life, to be honest. Therefore, this is why I like the film more than the book, due to the climax being epic like a Dawn of the Dead scene.

The book was excellent, good story. I was disappointed in the movie! Movie was rushed and felt no connection between characters. Actor for Peeta was wrong, no connection between Peeta and Katniss. Do not recommend movie if you read book.

In the Distant Future lies the ruins of North America. What remains of North America is called Panem, home to the Capitol and all it's 12 districts. Dating back to the Dark Days where the Rebels tried to take over, the Capitol "maintains" control over the districts by forcing their districts to choose 1 boy and 1 girl to participate in the Capitol's Annual Hunger Games. The hunger games is a televised arena death match that airs live on TV. There can only be 1 victor in the Hunger Games.
