I tried to like this movie. I really wanted to like it!! I really enjoy all the Nora Ephron (and Delia Ephron) books and movies. And this movie has such a great cast, who've done funny work in other movies. but Mixed Nuts...a total disaster. just not funny, and pretty stupid. I see it was based on a foreign film, no doubt that one WAS funny. and made sense. I was cheesed off, bored and frustrated, because this ensemble has done some terrific stuff...just not in this movie. If by any chance you see the theatrical trailer...the quick editing there makes Mixed Nuts look like a gem. It's not, sadly a waste of your time!
