As the second book in the Witch and Wizard series, it was not bad. It was very much like the first book in the type of adventures they had to do. A lot of times I find myself comparing it to Maximum Ride because of the similar relationships and situations but it is different. There was more character development for Byron Swain, and everything else was very similar to the first book. The Allgoods are beginning to gain some control over their powers which all leads up to the conclusion in Book 3. So far, I do like it, but find it strange that even though Whit and Wisty are supposed to help everyone, Whit is not as large of a character as Wisty. Overall, if you read the first book, read this one.

As I did enjoy reading this book, I was a bit disappointed in the ending. I also felt that in comparison to the first, this one lacked a lot of elements. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to the 3rd installment. I will also be starting Maximum Ride soon, as I've seen great reviews.
