The tree is decorated, the cookies are baked, and the packages are wrapped, but the biggest celebration this Christmas is Gaby Summerhill's wedding. Since her husband died three years ago, Gaby's four children have drifted apart, each consumed by the turbulence of their own lives. They haven't celebrated Christmas together since their father's death, but when Gaby announces that she's getting married, and that the groom will remain a secret until the wedding day, she may finally be able to bring them home for the holidays. But the wedding isn't Gaby's only surprise--she has one more gift for her children, and it could change all their lives forever.

A nice book about family and friendship. Enjoyable, even though it's a bit unrealistic.

This book was a different storyline that the normal humdrum ideas. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and finding out who Gaby would marry in the end. Each suitor was well defined and all 3 gentlemen seemed to care for Gaby. I felt bad for the guys she didn't choose. All and all, it was a good holiday read!

A great story about a family and their own trials, but they come together as a family.

Nice light read. Still love James Patterson despite no murders. Would recommend it.

The worst book I think I have ever read. The characters are boring, flat, selfish, and self-righteous. Completely insane plot. It way too "feel-good" even for a Christmas book, and I have read and enjoyed many of those. Utter rubbish.

The story line of this book is very strange - a woman has 3 suitors who have asked for her hand in marriage and waits until the day of the wedding to let the lucky man know. Really?? And the feats accomplished by this woman in her everyday life - feeding homeless, teaching, running a farm - made me feel like a worthless smuck. This is not a book I would recommend unless you like a very easy, fairytale-ish book.

A Fast easy read.- I liked the list of family and friend members in the front of the book their ages etc. to help keep track of who was who. Gabby's getting married but we don't know to who. There is a possibility of three. You want to keep reading to find out who.

Wasn't crazy about the entire concept, those poor saps waiting to find out if they were the groom....

I enjoyed this book; another romantic novel by James Patterrson. It was a quick read and the story was sweet. I enjoyed the characters and recommend this book.

I just gave up Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and the occasional beer before bedtime. And I banished mayonnaise—low-fat or otherwise—from the house. And white bread. Dunkin' Donuts for sure. It made me somewhat miserable...and hungry. But it also made me thinner. And, I must admit, happier. Yes, I'm happier than I've been in a long time.
