I am very engrossed in this narrative. I'm using dual formats--audio and print. I'm impressed with the audio version that uses 2 narrators. This is definitely a 5-star affair no matter which format you choose. The interview with the author at the end of the audiobook was also quite interesting.

It has been a long time since an audiobook has given me goosebumps down my arms; a book that has made me tense and scared to keep on listening, afraid that the remaining chapters will give me all that I fear and do not want for the main characters that I love so much. It has been a while since I have felt myself tearing up and smiling like an idiot while listening to the ending of a book. 'The Scorpio Races' is magical and listening to it I can almost see myself at the cliff watching the race, the high-energy atmosphere charged with magic and my heart beating along with the Scorpio music Maggie has composed playing in the background.

Really enjoyed this story. The fantastic premise of flesh eating horses from the sea was so interesting as was horse-whisperer Sean and the relationship between him and Puck. This is the second book by M. Steifvater that I have read. After reading The Raven Boys, something I simply picked up in the library audio section, I purposefully sought out more books by this author.

This is just an amazing book, and both performers are totally rock solid.

I simply couldn’t resist the opportunity to revisit one of my favorite books of the year in audio format. When I read this book back in February, I loved it and was completely caught up in the story. As for the audio, I absolutely loved Steve West as Sean. The music is haunting and struck me as very appropriate to the book. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Stiefvater composed and performed it! If anything, I think I love this book even more after having listened to the audio version.

An orginal premise well-executed. The everyday and the fantastical blend seamlessly, and the he/she narrators are spot-on. Sean's voice especially has the brooding bad boy nailed.
