Loved this movie. Chris H. is perfect as Thor, as is Tom H. as Loki. Enjoyed the story, the graphics, and special effects. Marvel does a better job than DC with their movies. DC does a great job with the animation for the younger + crowd, and I wish they could do a better job on their films.

It is great how Thor overcomes being arrogant. To me, that was more awesome than him and the villain's battle.

It feels a bit pageanty, but it nails the aesthetic.

I've been disappointed with the Thor movies, great in the Avengers, not a good stand alone.

The movie Thor is about a warrior from Asgard who is kicked out due to his arrogance in the battle between the Frost Giants and Asgard. On Earth, he does not have his powers anymore. Loki, Thor’s brother, wrongfully takes the throne and plans to exact revenge. One of the scenes that I found really awesome was when Thor approaches a metallic villain as a human, and gets killed. However, his powers return to him and he gets his hammer back. Unfortunately, the movie’s CGI is not very good and its effects look very unrealistic. It sort of brought the movie’s quality down.

Frankly speaking, I don’t think this one is the best Marvel movie I have ever seen. But generally speaking, it is a good one.
The main characters are God of Thunder, Thor and his adopted brother Loki, who is God of mischief. Thor is really brave and strong, with his hammer it seems he could beat everything, however, he is not that smart, doing everything without an agenda. In contrast, Loki is not that strong, even seems a little bit emaciated, but he's really smart and resourceful and he is a master of magic.
The two grew up together and were close to each other when they were young. However, they are both ambitious and want to be the King of Asgard in order to make it a better place. Since Loki was the son of Lucfey, the king of Jothuheim, he was saved by Odin after beating Jothuheim in a war. There is no possibility that Odin would choose him to inherit the throne. Loki didn't think Thor was mature enough to rule Asgard, so he led Frost giants to the palace where he placed the energy source of Jothuheim.
I like this movie very much and I will give it 4 out of 5.

Asgard was done VERY well in this film. All-around casting was great. One of my favorite Marvel films so far.

If you want comedy, clean romance, action/adventure, and super hero all mixed together, this is the movie for you! Great movie. It was very funny. Besides the taking of Our LORD's name in vain, recommended.
