The members of South Carolina's Sweet Briar Ladies Society Sewing Circle enjoy their gossip, and new Yankee librarian Tori Sinclair gave then plenty to talk about. But Tori has finally cut through their southern armor- or so she thinks. Tori is basking in the warmth of her new circle of friends from the sewing circle. That is until local author Colby Calhoun reveals an unflattering secret about the town's historic past- and then disappears, leaving a trail of blood but no clues to his possible murder.

As a transplant from Chicago, Tori has had a first-hand experience at how Southerners from the small town of Sweet Briar stick together, even when the truth is not what it seems to be. When the husband of a local prints a story that destroys the very foundation their fair city was built upon, tempers flare and the author ends up missing. Tori rebukes her new circle of friends for their behavior and sets on a search for the abductor. Life lessons are learned amid sewing lessons, a romantic spat, and bunnies galore.

I read this not long ago, I can hardly remember it. Spunky small-town...mom? shop owner? Was there a romance? Was there a she-almost-dies scene before the criminal gets found out? It wasn't bad, just forgettable.
