Highly recommended if you are a fan of Anthony Bourdain, sushi, or comic books in general...

Very silly concept carried by entertaining dialogue and fun food tidbits. Athony Bourdain is always an interesting writer regarding food, no matter the medium.

Great premise, not so great execution. I loved the art, but the story is ridiculous and not particularly interesting, nor are any of the characters sympathetic. Also, while I understand why there's a whole subculture devoted to fine food made with fresh, quality ingredients, I don't appreciate the kind of holier-than-thou attitude towards 'junk' food this book seems to promote. And yeah, I get this is a comic book and it's meant to be in good fun, but it gets tiring, ok? Leave my California rolls alone, Bourdain! (on the off chance you happen to frequent the city of Markham's library system)

What starts out as a rich and delicious comic about futuristic food culture quickly degrades into a half baked food fight with bland characters and no lasting message inside the fortune cookie. Literal junk-food.

Bourdain writes a graphic novel...... my dream has come true :o) Simply amazing. great art, in depth foodie culture, and lots of blood. An interesting look at the future and what the food network could cause. you'll never eat sushi the same way after reading this

a very good only reason for not giving it a full 5 stars is that I wanted it to be longer, it was that good...I hope AB continues with the adventures of Jiro...
