If you, or someone you know, are going through a difficult time. And by difficult, I mean, DIFFICULT. Then please consider reading this book. Jack Kornfield, an American and former Buddhist monk, now practitioner has one of the most gentle voices I have come across. The wisdom that he relays contains such kindness, hope, and the possibility that you can overcome is a testament to his ability as a teacher. A true lamp in the darkness!

A wonderfu simple book on embracing our life's difficulties, by an amazing teacher. The guided meditation CD that comes with this book is wonderful as well, mediations include working on forgiveness.

When you have listened to a lot of self help, especially Buddhist self help, Pema Chodron for example, then yes, this is repetitive in some ways. But it is different stories by a different author with a different voice, and will help people who hear it from this author and like his voice and his message. Worth a listen.
