There Was an Old Woman is a penetrating novel of psychological suspense from an Edgar-Award-nominated author. The blessing and curse of small neighbourhoods is knowing everything about your neighbours, and Evie, suspicious and concerned about her mother, rekindles a relationship with the 90-year-old Mina. Evie needs help figuring out what's been going on with her mother - and the more Evie digs into what her mother's been up to over the past few months, the more a bigger - and more sinister - story begins to unfold.

Makes you not want to grow old! Hope I've got someone to watch my back as I age, because some of the things that happen with Mina were all too familiar... sad to say. Great read!

A patron review from the Adult Summer Game: "Do you need an easy read to escape the hot sun this summer? Nominated for a Mary Higgins Clark Award, a riveting tale of murder and deception will keep you entertained and since you won't be able to put it down, a sunburn too!"
