Very interesting book. Mr. Ailes is a trend setter and business genius. He has very loyal friends who are both conservative and liberal.

Balanced, more than you might think. I originally borrowed the book as I had an interest in the business model, which appeared so successful at Fox. Alas, there is very little business insight and, in fact, Ailes makes claims that he is not a business genius, a fact not really pursued by the author. What I did find fascinating, however, was despite what some would claim is a caustic personality, Ailes selects very talented people and better yet, from an employee viewpoint allows them to do their job. What is most interesting is his facility in viewing both sides of discussion points, despite his clear conservative bent. This is a great read if you're an employer struggling with personnel issues, I believe there is much to learn here. If you think Fox, and by extension, Ailes are too right, politically, for your views, you're passing on an interesting opportunity. The book might deserve 5 stars, but the author was light in pursuing background information, which he attributes to the subjects apparent desire to write his own memoir, in the future. Good read, give it a shot !
