This does not read like a novel. The author adds way to many descriptive details of other "stuff" that does not relate to the flight and rescue. It was filler and made the book boring. I didn't even finish it.

A great reminder of how much we have (and how people with much less shared) -- but there are only so many ways to describe walking a long way in very bad weather.

The generosity of the Albanian people astonished me. Poor as they were, they shared what little food they had with the Americans.

Fascinating story about a little known incident in Albania during WWII. If only one of the nurses involved had still been alive to give her story. Kept your interest throughout the book.

This is what they call a "gripping story, and it's true. I felt like I went through it with the people involved. It also includes historical details woven in, which means I learned something. Very thoroughly researched.
