The first episode of this series is somewhat off-putting: who is this presenter, and why am I supposed to care about his childhood reminiscences? He's no Sister Wendy; more like a character from Flight of the Concords. But there are some refreshing glimpses of contemporary art and artists. If that's your jam, you'll enjoy.

The episodes make Art History seem interesting. However, there's too much repetition of the imagery viewers see.

This DVD set was mistitled. The title should have been - "About 5 boring hours of really crappy art....
mostly from New Zealand"!
Don't waste your time as I did.

Don't bother, unless this modern crap is something you can stand.
