I love it when books tie themselves to mythology. This book features a lot of Egyptian mythology and some of the stories are very interesting. I didn't quite buy the romance, and I am not even certain about reading the sequel, but the adventure was done quite well. Overall, it was an interesting story. I liked the mythology, but felt that the romance and the story could have been better developed.
This book was okay. I had a hard time believing the romance between Lily and Amon. Lily seemed desperate to find someone to love her. Her parents were never around and her friends were superficial.
I loved the Tiger series, and this series as well. I love learning mythology, history, and all while going on adventure. Amon is like an Egyptian Captain America. Lily and Amon are fighting to save the world.
Terrible characters, unbelievable, Stockholme-syndrome romance, full of info dumps, and in dire need of Egyptian mythology fact checks...
I don't have high hopes for this book, tbh, after the Tigers Saga monstrosity. Urgh.
