Adulthood is a myth confronts head-on the horrors, anxiety, and awkwardness of modern adult life. From the agony of holding hands with a gorgeous guy to the yawning pit of hell that is the wifi gone down to the eye-watering pain of eating too-hot pizza because one cannot stand to wait for it to cool down, Sarah fearlessly documents it all. Like the work of fellow Millennial authors Allie Brosh, Grace Helbig, and Gemma Correll, Sarah's total frankness on extremely personal issues such as body image, self-consciousness, introversion, relationships, and bra-washing makes her comics highly relatable and consistently hilarious.

Started as a web comic, is a compilation of individual scenes and stories about being a young adult in the modern era, so funny you will laugh-cry. Good for anyone who has ever said "adulting is hard".

So relatable!

For all those fans of Sarah's Scribbles, this cute collection talks about the challenges Sarah faces in adult life.
She discusses staying up too late and having trouble getting up the next morning. My favourite was not wanting to get up on cold winter mornings and being excited to come home and get into comfy pjs.

A graphic novel about a cartoon and her struggling to be an adult. It really shows all the horrible things that come with being an adult like socializing, planning for the future, having a normal sleep schedule etc. It's a cute and quick read. Rating 5 out 5 stars.

To all the introverts out there, you will find a comrade in Sarah Anderson. In her short strips, she frankly shares her insight and feelings about everyday situations, especially those awkward, terrifying moments where one has to "socialize". With her boogey-eyed "scribbles" she makes light of her adult life, and adult-related topics like work, relationships, and body concerns. For those who understand, you will find yourself bursting out in laughter on more than one occasion. Many of the strips refer to the female experience, so women in particular will enjoy this collection of the webcomic series Sarah's Scribbles. Adulthood is certainly a myth.

If you enjoy the work of Allie Brosh, you will love Sarah Andersen's just as much. Smile, smirk, and giggle your way through her honest, quirky observations on women, life, and the nonsensical insecurities that go along them (all the while feeling secretly relieved that there is someone else out there like you!)

Love these comics! I would go "me" with almost every one. If you're a fan of "Sarah's Scribbles" I recommend buying this/borrowing it from the library to support the artist's work. If you're a really huge fan, buy this so you can have your own copy on hand for whenever adulthood gets you down. Haha, I wouldn't mind if the artist drew a comic on escaping reality by reading her comic or a collection of them (like this book).

This book is so relatable! As I was reading through I was going, "Oh my gosh! YES!" or laughing really hard because it was all true! Great read!
