It's a rare occurrence, but sooner or later the stars aligns and a TV show that nearly everyone dismissed from the start as out of touch manages to capture lightening in a bottle and then goes on to become a beloved cultural phenomenon. Seinfeld is one of those rare events.

Seinfeldia by Jennifer Keishin Armstrong not only the captures the show's essential history, but also showcases the life-of-its-own fandom that has only gained in strength in the nearly twenty years since Seinfeld went off the air. Less obvious from the reading, however, is how much the TV landscape has changed since the 90's. A comparable show released today would have a more diverse cast, but then likely cancelled in its first season due to not finding its audience quick enough.
