I think this book would have made a better movie because of all the places she travels to. The movie could have touched briefly on each place and the point would have been made. I liked the history. Even though I don't know what it's like to be half human and half devil, I think it was easy to sympathize with her because part of her was evil and part wanted to do good...which is the basics of human existence. I could really feel the main characters sadness with her life. However, overall I don't know if I would recommend this book.

I liked the mystery part of it, but the religious overtones, superstition and basic weirdness were a little too much.
