Appropriate for young children but enjoyable enough for the parent doing the reading. The illustrations are charming and perfectly suited to the childish narrative (which I mean in a good way - kids will relate to Owl and Monkey's very simple/blunt discourse). It even has a very minor "twist" at the end.

My boys and I really liked this one. (They are ages 2 and 4.) My favourite thing about it is that it's not a moralistic "see! you should have shared!" story. It explores both the "wanting to have" and "wanting to keep" sides in a fun playful way.
