A good "detective" story taking place in Vienna before WW1, when there are anti-government and political dissidents becoming stronger and more active. The main thing that I saw that was overdone was the descriptions involving music. It went too overboard for the regular reader, but would have been fine in a serious book comparing the styles of various composers. It became a little nauseating.
