Gorgeous locations and a beautiful speech by the kid's father at the end of the film. Ah, yes!love can be painful. First half hour drags quite a bit.

Beautiful story about young love and the challenges that arise within some LGBT relationships. Very touching story - cinematically breathtaking. Would highly recommend.

An interesting story in minor key. Cinematography was nice. Good, apt soundtrack, e.g. Sufjan Stevens' "Mystery of Love." Good direction by Luca Guadagnino that on occasion proves to be quite bold. Multilingual: English, Italian, French, and a bit of German. Timothee Chalamet is a tremendous young actor.

Both my wife and I enjoyed the honesty of this movie and the leading character is brilliantly played by the youngster. You could feel for his pain and emotional entanglement. You come to realize that gay relationship is as real and valid as heterosexual. I recommend parents whose children are in a same sex relationship but difficult to accept to watch this movie,,, to find the humanity in this film. Well done!
The theme song sounds great too!

A beautiful story of first love and coming of age. The film is slow-paced and detail oriented in a way completely suited to its setting, and is saturated with music in a way that I love. It was wonderful and refreshing to watch a film in which a young gay man is supported and encouraged by his parents, and in which his love story is not a tragedy, but an honest account of first love in all of its intensity.

Lovely cinematography. Solid acting. Really slow.

A very touching, emotional love story. It's nice to see a gay love story that doesn't end tragically. So tired of watching films with gay characters that are killed off. I guess Hollywood thinks in order for the audience to tolerate a gay character they need to kill them off to evoke compassion. All in all, well done!

I loved that this was a love story that began and ended and no without too much one died and the emotional honesty drove the story.

I think this is the most beautiful love story yet..I love the movie ,the ending made me cry though. I expect the sequel to make up for the sad ending it was beautiful and well acted over all (Oliver) Armie Hammer and (Elio) Timothée Chalamet also had very powerful chemistry I highly recommend people watch the movie! It was the most passionate flick I've ever seen.

'We wasted so many days'- Elio Perlman

Apr 27, 2018

"Then let me say one more thing. It'll clear the air. I may have come close, but I never had what you two have. Something always held me back or stood in the way. How you live your life is your business, just remember, our hearts and our bodies are given to us only once. And before you know it, your heart is worn out, and, as for your body, there comes a point when no one looks at it, much less wants to come near it. Right now, there's sorrow, pain. Don't kill it and with it the joy you've felt. " - Mr. Perlman
