This book was so good!! There are some pretty sexual moments but, so good! I loved the fictional couple even if it was very hetero. A few times I wanted to shake them to be together but all else fails it’s still a good read. Would rest again

I struggled with this book -- I thought the plot was contrived & the only way the author could introduce tension was with snarkyness. I have to agree, the heroine was disrespectful to her boss. And the sex scenes were too stiff & lacking emotion. For the best loving, steamy sex scenes, read Christina Lauren.

First Keeland and Ward have some of the best meet-cutes in their books. Reed and Charlotte's was creatively clever and quirky. The writing was fluid and entertaining, while delivering a well developed story and characters. The main reason I'm not giving the story 5 stars is due to some of Charlotte's behavior. The author's seemed to gloss over Charlotte's insubordination and disrespect towards Reed who was her employer and a highly successful business owner. While also invading his privacy, she shamelessly commented on his rudeness and condescension. More often this behavior would get an employee canned rather than showcasing it as a quirky character trait. I couldn't reconcile those facts and it made it hard for me to care for her as much as the authors probably intended. If I had liked Charlotte as much as I was supposed to, it would have been a fantastic 5 star story. There were many witty and poignant moments throughout and a very emotional epilogue. Overall, the story had some strong writing, fun banter, and a wonderful ending that saved the story for me.
