The three novels in this collection are presented in order of strength, in my opinion, which is interesting since they're not organized chronologically according to the copyright info, indicating a conscious choice of arrangement on somebody's part. The Servants of Twilight is more thriller than horror, and was something of a slog to finish. Phantoms is effectively chilling, definitely the best work on offer here. Darkfall falls in the middle as far as the creepy factor goes, just as it does in the middle of the anthology. OK if you want to read a lot of Koontz, otherwise I'd suggest just sticking to Phantoms.
