From Library Staff

Realistic and exciting race car illustrations are featured in this alphabet book. Endpapers are interesting to look at as well! The big and bright pictures would make this a great book for preschool storytime!

My 3-year-old loves this book. The historical and engineering details are interesting to both he and I, and the verse is compelling and beautifully written. I often hear him quoting large sections of the poem to himself as he plays with his cars: "automobiles - machines on wheels...the race begins!"
