A clear and concise explication of the cosmological theory of Hawking, with some necessary bits about the history of cosmology and of the philosophy of science. The additional material on disc 4 should be looked at first and followed whilst listening along. Although clear, it must be listened to more carefully than most non-fiction audiobooks due to the lucidity of expression masking the depth of the thought. Its enlivened by jokes about every twenty minutes. The reader is consistently excellent.

As a complete astronomic infant, it was completely accessible and understandable. Very interesting!

I must admit giggling at the prospect of a "more accessible" version of "A Brief History of Time" - but it IS much more friendly that the original book, plus expands upon the original data. Voice actor Erik Davies' take on the material makes for a pleasant experience all the way around. Recommended for astronomy and science buffs!
