In Go West, it's 1870 and the Marx Brothers are out to get rich in Dead Man's Gulch. In The big store, the brothers reduce an enormous inventory of upscale merchandise into a multilevel disaster as they pursue and evade villains via bicycles, skates, unicycles, broad jumps, shipping chutes, elevator cables, high wires, pole vaults and pseudo-Tarzan chandelier swinging.

In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a Marx Brothers movie. This one was suggested to me as their best. My 10-year-old laughed hysterically.

This is actually a 2-movie DVD. The first is GO WEST, and the second is THE BIG STORE, which has been crossed out all over the packaging. The DVD seemed a little scuffed so I'm assuming they couldn't get the movie to play, but after some buffing, it plays fine. It also has some bonus shorts and cartoons.

Fair - Go West (1940) 80 min. Not one of their better pictures, but this Marx Brothers’ film still has a couple of good laughs mainly from a great chase scene involving a train and witty dialogue such as: S. Quentin Quale: Where have I seen your face before? Joseph Panello: Right where it is now. Go West marks their 10th film of 13. By the way, OPL has the Marx Bros. first 6 pictures in a beautiful DVD set – those films include: The Cocoanuts (1929), Animal Crackers (1930), Monkey Business (1931), Horse Feathers (1932), Duck Soup (1933), A Night at the Opera (1935).
