For me, there's nothing quite like witnessing the super-intense, uncontrollable power generated by a good, old-fashioned lightning storm.

And, with that in mind - Believe me, I was all set here for a real "lightning-storm" roller-coaster ride when it came to this documentary's subject matter, lightning.

But, unfortunately, as it turned out - This potentially promising presentation ended up containing way too much talk and not enough awesome spectacle to fully please this somewhat disappointed and impatient viewer.

Brought to you by the notable Nova Network, "Lightning!" just barely bordered on the brink of being worthwhile entertainment to me.

Yes. "Lightning!" certainly did clearly outline this incredible, natural phenomenon to my satisfaction. But, in the long run, there really isn't anything that quite compares to witnessing the real thing, first-hand.

(*Note*) - The video I included here really has nothing to do with this DVD. I just included it for the heck of it because of the word "lightning".
