Fair - Personal Effects (2009) 110 min. The film starring Ashton Kutcher and Michelle Pfeiffer had good intentions but fell flat in the end. The film seemed be missing something that brought it up from mediocrity. Both Kutcher and Pfeiffer play characters that recently lost loved ones – Kutcher’s sister was murdered while Pfeiffer’s husband was gunned down. Kutcher and Pfeiffer meet through Pfeiffer’s son who is having a difficult time getting over his father’s death. This is not a terrible film – it just doesn’t rise to the emotional heights it’s intended to elicit.
