I have to admit, I was most impressed (also) by the movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy" - while incredibly waky and base in humor, thought maybe we had stumbled into an 12year old's comic (yeah, I know, hush, wait... ), it was ALSO metaphorically rich - and we're actually talking "cosmic humor" here. Groot, for one, is portrayed as, or more accurately, referenced as, quite the mindless idiot with a 1yr old infant's "me-me-me" focus ("'I am Groot' is all he says," his sidekick apologizes). Then Groot somehow seems to stumble into actually solving some of the problems encountered by the band of misfit heros that Groot plays an increasingly expanding role in (so to speak [hint, hint]).. but as so much of the picture is all about -- ILLUSION -- this tree, turns out to be, hmmmm, should I give it away? Really? Well, what is the mystical relevance of a tree? uhmmmm, And what function might that role fulfill? And then there's the "baby Groot" who I will rename as Groot Reborn. Now, if you haven't seen it, and if you like metaphysical humor... Oh, and if you want to sell something, do you not go where it ain't, and then speak the language (but am getting ahead of things here)...
