This book was extremely refreshing, especially since I wasn't really satisfied with Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Angel, which revolves around a rather similar plot. In saying that, this book focused a lot more on female friendship, and it was simply far more intriguing. At times, I did have some minor issues with the male characters (for example, Andrew Hayden and the Duke of Selburn), but overall, I loved the entire mood of the story and the setting. The book was also a little too long for my liking, but at least the writing style was a thumb up. This is a novel with funny moments, heart-wrenching experiences, and an unforgettable set of characters.
