(5 stars) Kenyon excels at creating these incredibly tragic, tough, and lovable characters, and I especially appreciate that her heroines are as strong as her heroes! Wren and Maggie grabbed me from "Go," and it was a pleasure to watch them grow as individuals and as a couple. It was also great to see some of my favorite characters from previous Dark-Hunter novels and to get some more perspective on them. Nicollette is suddenly a lot more complex. And, Awww, Nick! I don't know how he did it (maybe we will learn later?), but his wedding gift was so wonderful. The book just flew by for me - totally absorbing and satisfying! PS) Loved having a male lead who was a virgin. Not that it seemed to hamper him in bed, but it's nice to see that gender convention flipped!
