Although written for a 'young adult' audience I found this short book particularly interesting in providing a greater understanding, views of a person whose work I admired when walking around Vancouver - their Public Library (which is awesome in so many ways) & Robson Square. Her passion about the importance of creating and maintaining practical, green spaces as our cities become ever more densely populated is impressive. Hope the new Ottawa Public Library includes these ideas - rooftop gardens, interesting spaces that allow creativity etc. and not just a glossy, sleek high-tech structure.
